Newborn Baby Talk is a free class for parents with newborns, from birth to 12 weeks, that provides support, information and resources related to the exciting job of parenting.

Family Planning Program

The Rice County Family Planning Program provides education and counseling related to family planning. Birth control methods and medical services are provided by contracted Rice County clinics for subsidized family planning services to uninsured income eligible individuals and teens. All services are confidential.

LaLeche League International

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone and email whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns. Calling or emailing a Leader is FREE, as are our meetings.

New Mom’s Network

New Mom’s Network is a six-week support group for first time moms of infants.

Public Health Newborn/Postpartum Home Visits

Public Health Nurses provide support and education to new parents after hospital discharge.

Scholarships/Financial Assistance: No one will be denied based on ability to pay.

WIC Breastfeeding Education

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) offers one-on-one education about nutrition and feeding practices, supporting breastfeeding, referring to health and community resources and giving vouchers to buy healthy foods for pregnant women, and families with children younger than five years.
